The City Council will consider a report item for the Community Engagement Strategy for the Downtown Station Area Specific Plan Update project.  

The Community Engagement Strategy will outline the proposed outreach and engagement methods for the Specific Plan Update project. The Council will also be asked to considering waiving Council Policy 000-006 regarding appointments to Boards/Commissions/Committees, to allow a more expedited process for forming the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for the project.  The purpose of the CAC, which will be comprised of various members of the community, is to be ambassadors for the project and to help the project team reach out to the broader community.
